Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on August 2026

I want everyone — including people with visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive disabilities — to be able to visit and enjoy this website. Accessibility matters to me personally: as someone who navigates hearing loss myself and advocates for children with hearing loss and cleft conditions through Ashiana Children's Foundation, I know firsthand how much it means when a space is built to include everyone.

What I am doing

This site is built on Wix, which provides built-in accessibility tools, and I try to follow good practices where I can, including:

  • Descriptive text for images so screen readers can describe what's shown

  • Clear headings and a consistent navigation structure

  • Readable text sizing and color contrast

  • Captions or descriptions for video content where possible

I'm aiming to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as a general standard, though this site is a personal, ongoing project rather than a professionally audited one — accessibility is something I'm continuing to learn about and improve.

Feedback

If you run into anything on this site that's hard to use or access, I'd genuinely like to know. Please reach out at gawande.aariana@gmail.com and let me know:

  • The page where you had trouble

  • What device or assistive technology you were using

  • What happened, and what you expected instead

I'll do my best to fix it.
